R&D Technician:
The product development team is searching for an experienced R&D Technician with knowledge, experience and skills in the following areas:

prototype fabrication, including soldering and rework of fine pitch SMT assemblies, mechanical construction, hand fabrication of sheet metal and plastic enclosures and parts, electrical assembly and test, etc.

high voltage, high current (1000V, 1000A) power circuit assembly and troubleshooting

PC systems, Windows, Word/Excel/etc., Schematic Capture, uP and DSP firmware development tools (downloading and troubleshooting embedded system code)

Kit parts for contract Printed Circuit assembly, track prototype build materials, manage inventory, and deliver assembled boards to the engineer on time and built correctly

Lab safety and maintenance
You need to be able to work in a small, fast paced environment, working closely with engineers, customers and vendors. You will manage the relationship with prototype Printed Circuit assembly subcontractors, calibration and maintenance Labs, and other service providers. You will be responsible for the R&D Lab facilities, maintaining common supplies stock, suggesting improvements in how we build and test prototypes, and critiquing engineering designs for producability, maintainability, and testability.
