Experienced controls engineer with specialization in motor controls, sensored and sensorless control of induction and PM machines, control of buried-magnet (IPM) machines, and model-based design of robust controls for machines in a wide range of applications.

- embedded C development experience with TI TMS320 series and Freescale MPC55xx series Power PC controllers
- MatLab / Simulink expertise, including RT Workshop and Embedded Coder
- direct experience with IPM and reluctance machines, as well as with surfce-magnet and induction machines
- MSME, or MSEE minimum plus advanced controls study

Experienced, highly knowledgeable technician with experience working in automotive electronics, power electronics, and embedded systems. The correct candidate will have good mechanical skills, excellent soldering skills, excellent fabrication and assembly skills, and will be ble to document processes and experiments professionally.

- lab organization, calibration schedules, maintenance, facilitation, and equipment support
- excellent computer skills for data entry, documentation, and report generation
- CAN-based networks and automotive electronics
- assembly tech and test test training and supervision
- lathe, mill and saw operation for enclosure and part fabrication, proto build, and quick test rig assembly
- PCB troubleshooting to the component level
- PADS schematic capture and PCB layout toolset
